It's unfortunate because I've had them for years and I've been happy, but I'm enjoying how the Steelseries sounds and I'll be moving forward with those.
I plan on returning the 9X as soon as the 7X comes back in stock, and most likely I'll be selling my A50s because following the removal of optical support, I just feel like they don't perform nearly as well as they did on my Xbox One X. I've had small issues with audio cutting out in stretches and that makes me wish I got the 7X instead (my friend has these and he's had no problems).

Unfortunately people have been reporting issues for the 9X also and it sounds like Microsoft needs an update since multiple wireless headsets are having problems. I purchased the Arctis 9X and using the Dolby license with it has been a much better experience than I had with the A50. I have the Gen 3 A50s so it might be different for you since I'm guessing you got the Gen 4 model. The sound itself was poor and even after purchasing the Dolby Access license it didn't improve. Following the USB connection update, the Dolby and preset buttons were rendered useless for me. My A50 experience with the Series X has not been great and I'm sure you'll read a lot of people saying the same thing on the Astro sub. Posts that do not fit into flair categories will promptly be removed at moderator discretion. 99% of all threads should get auto tagged automagically. You are doing a major service to yourself and our community. This helps our sub stay streamlined and quickly searchable for other on target threads.
